Impact 4 Good (http://impact4good.com/) connects corporations with non-profit organizations worldwide. Your responsibility will be to assist our lead host and manage some of the fun team-building activity, as well as assist in the coordination of the community service give-back conclusion. There will be 125 employees from Wells Fargo corporate offices, meeting at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel, and Impact 4 Good has created and is managing a 120-minute interactive and FUN program.
From 4:30–6 p.m., the team will be assembling a large open area by placing different materials on 16 pre-set tables and empty space that will be used for the programs activities. Around 5 p.m., after all tables and spaces are set as instructed, the team will go over different game rules with the lead host. He will break the staff down into 4 pairs to stay at 4 different activity stations where you just have to explain the simple game activities to attendees at your station. You will have instruction sheets provided and the lead host, Ira, will make sure you understand your role.
This activity is called Stand Down for Homeless Veterans and teams interact at 4 activities where they will be building paper airplanes for competition, playing in a life size battle ship game, creating pathways with different tools or working on a fun and fast paced trivia game. During the event, staff will be at their sections to encourage the attendees and make sure the game is moving along before the teams switch to the next section. You will be expected to be highly interactive and outgoing throughout! Afterwards, participants will partake in an exercise assembling hygiene care kits to homeless veterans. During this process you will walk around and assist where needed. When everything is complete, there will be a general clean up and pack up. Nothing rigorous at all. Between approximately 8:45-9 pm you will be free to leave. Please note, the event can always start a few minutes later – please be willing to commit to a potentially extra 20-30 minutes if needed.
