The United States Black Women’s Chamber of Commerce is launching two projects related to its business line. One is with increasing Corporate Advertisement and Sponsorship Opportunities of its various events & communication channels. The other is with launching a digital publication that will be distributed to its membership and key stakeholders of the general public. Various job opportunities are available with both of the above-mentioned projects.
Positions Reports to: Company President and Editor-in-Chief
Positions needed include, but not limited to: Editorial Production Manager, Digital/Social Media Manager, Copy & Research Manager, Content Contributors, Graphic Design Manager, Art & Photo Manager, Layout Manager, Advertisement Manager, Marketing Manager, Corporate Sponsorship & Promotion Manager, Beauty & Fashion Manager, Business & Work Manager, Lifestyle & Features Manager and Account Executive.
Qualifications: The following Majors are preferred for some of the above-mentioned positions: Advertising, Digital Production, Magazines, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Fashion & Textiles, Business Administration, Entrepreneurial Leadership, Organizational Development, English and Photography. Additional Majors will be given consideration as well.
Essential duties and responsibilities: Based upon the specific needs for the respective positions above.
Preferred working knowledge and experience will be based upon the specific position. However, overall, the following are require for the all of the above-mentioned positions: Superior organizational and project management skills* Ability to make tight deadlines and work well under pressure*Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail*Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support high level staff*Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative*Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships*Exhibit good judgment and decision making skills*Willingness to work a flexible schedule, with notice, which may include nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on changing priorities of the organization.
