The New York Times is seeking a New York Times Collegiate Representative on campus. Take advantage of the unique opportunity to represent The New York Times, a leading global, multimedia news and information company. We are seeking highly motivated, passionate individuals with a love for news, current events and the desire to keep their fellow students informed.
As a New York Times Collegiate Representative you will be the eyes and ears of The New York Times on your campus. You will be involved with brainstorming, creating and executing new marketing initiatives for The New York Times. You will also be responsible for informing other students about the student priced New York Times subscription. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tabling, research, conducting focus groups, organizing and executing of events and other marketing initiatives. You’ll also be called upon to give feedback and suggestions regarding the New York Times, putting you on the front lines of marketing for one of the world most established brands.
We encourage you to apply if you are a regular reader of The New York Times, are outgoing, organized and are comfortable talking and presenting to your peers and professors. The ideal candidates will have connections to, or be members of on campus groups and organizations. Being a registered user or subscriber of The New York Times, ability to meet deadlines, respond to requests by program managers, and a GPA of at least 3.0 are required. Prior field marketing experience or brand ambassador experiences are a plus.

*Paid position- hours around ~10/wk
Last semester, students had an expense paid trip to The New York Times headquarters to meet directly with the marketing department to gain insight about what it’s like to work there.
