The Office of University Communications is seeking a social media intern to assist the Digital Media Specialist during the fall semester of 2015, and into spring 2016, depending on the student’s interest.
Candidate will assist the digital media specialist on implementing social media strategy across platforms where the Drake University brand is represented. This position will assist in daily social media coverage, as well as promotion of larger university events like the Bucksbaum Lecture and various Drake Relays community events.
Tasks will include:
-Social media monitoring
-Social media strategy (content planning)
-Implementation of social strategy on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
-other tasks as assigned
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for social media and a general understanding of the Drake University brand. Knowledge in PR writing is beneficial.
