The Office of University Communications is seeking a social media intern to assist the Digital Media Specialist during the spring semester in 2015 (with training hours occurring in fall semester, 2014).
Candidate will assist specialist on implementing social media strategy across platforms where the Drake University brand is represented. This position will assist in daily social media coverage, and implementing strategy to promote Drake Relays the All In 24-hour giving campaign.
Tasks will include:
- Social media monitoring
- Social media strategy (content planning)
- Implementation of social strategy (Scheduling tweets and Facebook posts).
- Other tasks as assigned
The ideal candidate would demonstrate a passion for social media and a general understanding of the Drake University brand. Knowledge in PR writing is beneficial.
