PR Accounts Internship–LS2group

Larson Shannahan Slifka Group (LS2group) has a PR Accounts Internship available for fall. LS2group is a bipartisan public relations, public affairs, and marketing firm that guides its practices with one goal in mind: what others may do, we strive to do better.

LS2group looks for interns who are highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient, have strong writing skills, an interest in learning and an ability to adapt to the fast-paced and ever-changing nature of our business.

The responsibilities and assignments of a Public Relations intern will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assisting Account team members on a variety of tasks for clients such as:
  • o     Writing requests (LTE’s, Letters to elected officials, Op-eds)
  • o     Phone calls (Turnout calls for events)
  • o     Research projects (Media Lists, contact databases)
  • Helping staff assistants with various administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly
  • Running errands as directed
  • Assisting in setting up or working at an event

LS2Group Internship Opportunities: Preferred qualifications

  • 1-3+ months professional experience through internships, part-time work, full-time work, and/or demonstrated leadership experience in a community setting
  • Proven experience in competent written and oral communication
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks, manage time, set priorities and deadlines
  • Microsoft Office applications experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email Systems)
  • Demonstrated experience successfully collaborating with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and availability to travel based on business needs
  • Relevant exposure to preferred area of intern (marketing/PR/Government affairs)
  • Ability to adapt to change on a regular basis
  • Undergraduate
