Assistants needed for documentary filming in Iowa

Midterms Documentary, LLC is filming a documentary on the midterm elections. The crew will be in Iowa on Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, and throughout the summer as production continues. The film is being directed by A.J. Schnack, who directed the documentary “Caucus.” The company is seeking production assistants in the Des Moines area to assist with filming. Positions are paid, with the rate depending on the length of the shoot day: Some days will cover only a single event for a couple of hours, while other days multiple events will be covered. Production assistants will be involved in obtaining releases from folks who are filmed in the course of coverage. The company is seeking smart, eager, polite people who want some experience working on a documentary. No production experience is needed. Additionally, Midterm Documentary is seeking Media Managers to help with ingesting, logging, transcoding, pulling stills, etc. These managers will need experience using Final Cut Pro 7, archiving of P2 cards, etc. Applicants with their own Mac laptops with FCP7 are a plus.
