The Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing Officer with internal and external communications, public relations events, retail sales support, and marketing projects as assigned. It is anticipated that this will be a summer position, with the possibility of carrying over into the academic year as schedules permit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Communications: Write and proofread copy for internal training, website development, press releases, and other projects within the marketing and communications areas at West Bank. Proof and approve onboarding communications in Connections; respond to employee support questions; maintain custom relay reports. Develop and write copy for West Waves, the company intranet; update planned customer communications and sales support sections of West Waves.
Public Relations: With direction of the Marketing Officer, respond to PR advertising request, sponsorship ad request, and assist with planning for Coralville Grand Opening.
Branch Merchandising and Signage: Assist with branch merchandising, including keeping posters, brochures and teller displays current, developing ATM signage, and assist in determining content for branch marquee signs; coordinate requests for signs and banners for bank events.
Reporting/Compliance: Develop and maintain Channel Usage report and Website Analytics reports; maintain compliance binder and respond to audit requests; assist with copywriting for compliance-required customer communications, including pricing changes and other notifications
Qualifications: Current student pursuing B.A., B.S., or A.A. degree in marketing, communications, or related field. Business or banking experience a plus.
– MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook
– Adobe Creative Suite
– Some website development – HTML and an understanding of usability design
