Start a business with $10,000 and help from the Drake Entrepreneurship Center

The Drake University Entrepreneurship Center is launching a new program this summer that is open to all Drake University students, both graduate and undergraduate.

The Lorentzen New Venture Hatchery is a summer program designed to help students gain an unprecedented opportunity to start their business while still in school, under the mentorship of experienced entrepreneurs. Stipends up to $10,000 are available for teams and are designed to cover costs such as housing, startup, and other expenses. During the course of the Hatchery program, students will be provided with office space at StartupCity Des Moines, access to office equipment, as well as mentoring, coaching, and other assistance from the Hatchery’s program director and other local entrepreneurs. The website for the program is http://www.drake.edu/cbpa/centers/lorentzenhatchery/ .
