Strategic Marketing & Proposal Coordinator (Specialist)

Lucas Group is actively seeking a Strategic Marketing & Proposal Coordinator (Specialist) for our client, a leading provider of specialized contracting services. Under the direction of the Marketing/Proposals Manager, the Specialist will be responsible for:

Assisting in development and production of assigned technical proposals and presentations, which may include:

  • Writing assigned content such as introductions, executive summaries, qualifications, etc.
  • Compiling materials and exhibits to ensure proposal requirements are met
  •  Proofreading proposal text
  • Formatting documents according to corporate standards

Development of assigned technical qualifications and experience lists, which many include:

  • Compiling qualifications and experience data and preparing information for final qualifications documents.
  • Research and writing on assigned topics.
  • Formatting documents according to corporate standards
  • Proofreading
  • Maintaining quarterly updates of key qualifications documents and uploading to company SharePoint site
  • Maintaining and uploading quarterly updates of key qualifications documents

Populating Client Project & Resume Database

  • Data entry, requiring some qualitative decision making
  • Research and writing for new entries

Support of sales and business development team for client and all operating units.


Entry-level position, with room to grow. The qualified candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines while ensuring attention to details and quality.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills are mandatory. Requires excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition, as well as oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with an engineering or construction firm or in a similar technical/marketing environment, or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience, a plus but not required.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel are required. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, PhotoShop and other software programs preferred. Experience MS Access database development a plus.
