Event and Communications Intern; CFA Minnesota

This position is an unpaid internship with the CFA Society of Minnesota. Interns will report to the Events and Communications Manager and work directly with staff and/or board members.

Projects will include:
 Event logistics (supporting and coordinating our August 1 InvestMNt Conference)
 Desktop publishing and editing
 Social media and marketing
 Venue research and outreach
The ideal candidate will be:
 Detail oriented
 Organized, efficient and self-motivated
 Familiar with desktop publishing programs (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher)
 Open to feedback and willing to share ideas
 Willing to help with a variety of programs and tasks
 Willing to work in downtown Minneapolis during business hours
 Learn about industry professionals throughout the region
 Ability to create new collateral pieces for your portfolio
 Attend monthly education luncheons and networking events free of charge
 Letter of recommendation upon completion of successful internship
 Training in project administration, publications development, office skills, public relations, networking and outreach
Timeframe for Internships:
4-8 weeks, between May 1 – September 1
8-12 office hours per week on a consistent schedule, preferred Reimbursement for travel via Metrotransit is available
