INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
The Strategy Governance and Integration, Talent & Communication team develops and delivers effective and relevant communications and activities that inspire Corporate Relations employees to deliver best in class performance and reinforce CR strategic priorities.

Throughout your internship, you will work side by side with experienced professionals to translate your classroom knowledge into real-world challenges in a dynamic business environment. Specifically, you will assist the Talent & Communications intern will be responsible for the following:

CRU Orientation Program: Plan and coordinate Lunch and Learns/workshops, manage
logistics and track and measure engagement.

CRU Book Club: Plan, coordinate and lead discussions, track and measure engagement, book recommendations and selections

Skill Competency Tool: Reporting, analysis and recommendations

CRU Weekly Update: Support writing and communications

Employee Spotlight Program: Manage overall program – solicit employee profiles, draft weekly communications and manage employee engagement

CR LinkedIn: Promote participation, provide communications support, track and measure engagement

CRU Employee Community: Post CRU events and activities, promote program participation and drive CRU traffic and interest, respond to and engage in blogs, track and measure engagement

June Thanks a Million campaign: Manage and support communications, participate in and promote activities

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates should have a deep interest and general understanding of communications and public relations, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to assume responsibility, prioritize their work, and think creatively. In addition the ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Strong writing skills, experience writing new articles, website copy, or newsletters is preferred
  • Social Media experience, specifically with blogs and experience using LinkedIn is a highly desired
  • Project management experience (university or corporate) is required, the intern will be responsible for managing the overall Employee Spotlight Program and Employee Orientation Program
  • Prior public relations internship experience is beneficial

EDUCATION:
We prefer candidates who are upper-level undergraduate students majoring in Journalism, Communications, English or Human Resources with a first year graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
