The Greater Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau has an opening in the marketing and development department for a Web and Digital Media Specialist.
Duties include oversight and updating of websites, mobile website, e-newsletters, multimedia efforts and social media accounts with mindful consideration of the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau’s mission, strategies and objectives. This person will also be responsible for reaching out to social media followers and bloggers, motivating them to take action.
The ideal candidate must be able to clearly and succinctly communicate brand messaging through excellent writing/communication skills in unique ways to diverse audiences. The ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize autonomously as well as collaboratively is critical. Successful applicants must be creative and able to see the big picture. Strategic and tactical thinking will be an asset.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and/or two years experience in a similar position; proficiency in various social media platforms.
