Intern for Iowa Senate Democratic Research Staff

The Senate Democratic Research Staff is composed of state employees who work for the Democratic Leader of the Iowa Senate and the other Democratic Senators. Our office is located in the Iowa Statehouse, just down the hall from the Governor’s office.

Interns help with public communication using email lists, press releases, press conferences, social media, and the production of photographs and audio and video clips.

Past interns have become legislators, state employees, journalists, and professional communicators. Interested students can find out more and apply at our web site at: http://www.senate.iowa.gov/democrats/internships.
